True or False: Birds of prey usually swallow their food in pieces.True or False questions on birds?
True all species have very distinctive songs

False MOST birds do not mate for life but SOME do.

True sometimes- some birds make very distinctive nests but you cannot always necessarily ID the nest to a precise species, but at least figureing out which type of bird made it (example: hummingbird, oriole, wren, etc.) is usually easy enough to do.

True- they tear it up with their hooked bills first, however if it is something small enough like a small mouse they may swallow it whole.True or False questions on birds?
1. True. In most cases, you can identify a bird by its song. Some birds sound very similar, so you need a very good ear and lots of practice to get it right.

2. True. Most birds are monogamous, including the penguin and canadian goose.

3. True. Some birds build the traditional nest, others build mounds, others have burrow nests, they also use different materials to build a nest, grass, twigs, etc...

4. False. Birds of prey swallow their food whole because they don't have any teeth.
true (partly to get technical): most birds have one song they sing although there is a few birds that will mimic noises they hear. for instance the lyre mbird of australia can mimic thousands of noises, from other birds to chainsaws, or even the sound of a camera.

true: there is several different species of birds that mate for life, penguins, owls, and ravens. but there are birds that will have several mates like ostriches.

true: most birds build their nests asa safe haven for their babies, but some birds also build their nest to attract mates, like african weaver birds that build their nest from straw, the straw nest hangs from trees with an entrance in the bottom of the nest, the males build them and if the female is satified they will mate, if she isn't satisfied she will destroy the nest forcing the male to start all over.

true: most birds of prey will rip their food to shreds and swallow the peices whole. owls though prefer to eat bite sized meals like mice and sometime other birds and swallow their victims whole.
Some birds can be identified by their call or song but not all. some, but not all birds mate for life. Usually anyone familiar with birds can identify birds by the nest they build but not always. Raptors swallow their food in chunks.
