False. The larger portions of icebergs are below the waters surface.

Happy Spring. Is this true or false: The larger portion of an iceberg is above the water's surface.?
The larger portion of an iceberg is actually below the surface of the water...over 90 percent of icebergs are hidden!
False. The larger portion of an iceberg is below the water surface.
False. The density of ice is about 0.9 g/ml and water is 1.0 g/ml, which means 90% is underwater and 10% is above water.
false
false
totally false. 90% of an iceberg is underwater.
false
True! LOL just kidding! This is so false!!! I hope you're doing a project for a 5th grade class with such an obvious question!
False of course. Put an ice cube in water and tell me what happens.
false how do think the titanic sunk they thought they could just pass the little small part of the ice berg and BAM!!!!! they hit the bigger part underneath and then hello Atlantis
its falls son
False, about 90 percent of an iceberg is below the suface of the water.
90% submerged seems to be the correct answer, but what about the iceberg's shadow?

*Perhaps joe g could elaborate on that ???
Its false. The density of ice (compared to the water) defines how much of the ice is exposed on the surface and how much is underwater. Usualy around 1/8 of the iceburg is above water, with 7/8 being below.
