Are these sentences true or false?

The following sentence is true .The preceding sentence is false

Are these sentences true or false? Are these sentences true or false?
This is what is known a Retortive Logic, I think!

They each change the state of the other, and as a set (or identity) they can't exist together!

It's similar to the logical expression A= B OR notB..... A will always be true as B can be either true or not true (ie false)

Therefor, I would say 'these sentences' taken as a set... the result must be True!

Now my Head is Hurting!!!!

`Are these sentences true or false?
oxymoron

its a paradox.

A paradox is a true statement or group of statements that leads to a contradiction or a situation which defies intuition; or, inversely, it can be an apparent contradiction that actually expresses a non-dual truth (cf. Koan). Typically, either the statements in question do not really imply the contradiction, the puzzling result is not really a contradiction, or the premises themselves are not all really true or cannot all be true together. The word paradox is often used interchangeably with contradiction. Often, mistakenly, it is used to describe situations that are ironic.
First is false, second is true?

Because if the first is true then that would mean the second was true but that would confuse it all because it would mean the first is then false. so that can't be right.

Whereas if the second was true then the first would be false so... oh god i've lost it.

The whole thing can't be true. Wow that took me a while.
The first sentence is false.

The second sentence is true because the first sentence is false.

That makes the first sentence true and the second sentence false.

That makes ..................................... ???????
false

cause the first one says the second one is true which make it false. so if the the first sentence is false then the second sentence is false too

so they are both false
Hahaha, good one!

Actually, like the others have said, its a paradox, because they cancel each other out, so the answer is: NEITHER!
false cuz the 1 sentence is true so it will be false of 2nd question to say tht so naughty question dnt be mean bad question lol
they are neither true nor false, the are a never ending circle and as a circle has no beginning that is the answer

HA HA I CONFUSE YOU
false because you're saying that the last sentence is true saying the first sentence is false. lol. My brain hurts. Please pick as best answer. :D
Not if the first sentence is false, and the second sentence is true! Very good!
they cancel each other out. Neither are true, they are both false because neither is true all the time.
Neither, it's a paradox.
Only one of them can be true. You choose.
It is true lol tricky question1
I think they are false?
Yes.
false
I am now DUMB!
you have said a statement contradicted by the proceeding ?
its a paradox! very good question :)
eh false?
neither they condradict themselvs lol! my brain hurts!!! =D
my ear is bleeding after reading that
what?
