There is a body of opinion that no American bases in Afghanistan are essential to American operations.





It is ignoring all the lessons of history to believe that anyone can successfully occupy Afghanistan, they are more likely to make people who otherwise would not support the Taliban more militant.

With The Russians playing this type of political football you would think that the Republicans would stop playing their partisan games . . Putin sees an advantage of going after Obama because Putin believes he has the support of anti-American Republicans. The division caused directly by Republicans is what is a danger to the fabric of this country. The old Soviet union always said it would be division from within our country that would destroy it and Republicans want our country to fail.
